The existence of the German "Chivess Pavanger Regulations" annexed hereto has been hitherto unknown at this port nor, copy of the Regulations purporting to be for vessels under 30 days deviation furnished by the German Consul, do they appear to have been ever brought into force. The date at the bottom is kept blank "Canson, on the November, 1876. The Imperial Consul."
Further the rule referred to in the footnote for the computation of the length of voyages from Canton does not appear to have been ever formulated or promulgated. I have supplied a copy or doubtless the Consul would have supplied a copy.
The footnote is literally undated.
It may be noted that the Regulations provide for shorter voyages.
